From crest to TPU patch: a practical artwork guide
Fine lines, small type and too many colours are the three things that make a TPU or silicone crest look muddy. Here is how to prepare a file that moulds cleanly.
TPU and silicone patches are built from moulds and colour separations, not pixels. A line that is one pixel wide in Illustrator may disappear at 40 mm.
What to send
Send vector artwork with spot colours, the smallest text size and the intended patch width. We will prepare the mould and colour separation and send a proof before sampling.
For woven clothing labels, the artwork needs a weave plan instead. We handle that in-house too.
